But this Szczęśliwice spot actually surprised me in the best way. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Ochota, nothing fancy from the outside, but once you’re inside the apartment, it’s clear someone put real thought into making this work for travelers who need more than just a bed. The home office setup is legit – I mean, there’s an actual desk with proper lighting and everything, not just some sad corner with a wobbly chair like you usually get. And that balcony? Perfect for morning coffee, especially if you’re dealing with jet lag and need some fresh air to wake up.

What really sold me on this place was how practical everything felt. The parking situation alone is worth mentioning because anyone who’s tried to park in Warsaw knows it can be a nightmare – but here you’ve got your own spot, which honestly feels like luxury in this city. The Ochota district isn’t the touristy center that everyone talks about, but that’s actually why I liked it. You’re living where actual Varsovians live, grabbing groceries at the local Żabka, walking past the same dog park every morning. It’s maybe a 15-20 minute tram ride to get into the real action downtown, but sometimes you want to come back to somewhere that feels more residential, you know? The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort – the kind of place where you can actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re camping in someone’s pristine showroom.

I’ll be honest, it’s not going to win any design awards, and if you’re looking for hotel-style service or fancy amenities, this isn’t your spot. But for the price point and that 8.4 rating (which feels about right, maybe even conservative), it delivers exactly what it promises. The Wi-Fi actually works well enough for video calls – trust me, I tested it extensively during a week of remote work. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t try to be more than it is. It’s clean, functional, and the kind of place where you can settle in for more than just a night or two without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the shower pressure is surprisingly good – one of those small things that can make or break a longer stay. If you’re the type who needs to be in the heart of Old Town, this probably isn’t for you, but if you want a genuine slice of Warsaw life with all the practical stuff sorted out, it’s a solid choice.

  The location was good and although our van couldn't fit in the under building car park (2m high and car park is 1.9m), they explained where we could park and there was plenty of street parking right outside anyway. There was plenty of bedding and a large fan for use which was fine and there being no air con didn't bother us. Plenty of crockery and a nice big table. Plenty of serving bowls and cooking trays/dishes etc. Nice big fridge and freezer. We were a family of 7 including a baby (4 other kids between 8 and 10) and it was a safe, happy environment for them. Big smart TV in living room. The shop downstairs is cheap, open good hours and has friendly staff. We were right outside the park so was great with the kids. There is the play parks, outdoor Lido, dry ski slope, restaurants and icecream parlour in the park too. We could also walk to Blue City (big shopping centre).

  What could be improved: Zbyt dużo biurokracji i nieintuicyjny system
  Aby odebrać klucze, musiałem założyć konto na zewnętrznym portalu, który regularnie się zawieszał. Nie rozumiem, dlaczego muszę ponownie udostępniać swoje dane osobowe, skoro rezerwacja była dokonana przez Booking, który już je posiada.
  Dodatkowo wymagano wpłaty 500 PLN kaucji – informacja ta nie była wystarczająco jasno przedstawiona przy rezerwacji.
  Cały system odbioru kluczy jest niepotrzebnie skomplikowany i mało przyjazny dla użytkownika.
